Looking to hit the green? Look no further. Winter Park is home to four diverse courses and jaw-dropping views at Pole Creek, Grand Elk, Granby Ranch and Grand Lake. Drive to multiple courses in one day, or savor each one separately. They’re all up and running, and ready for summer!
2. Train Rides
Ride the rails! The Georgetown Loop Railroad is on the other side of Berthoud Pass, only 45 minutes from Winter Park. The tracks are set at 640 feet above rocky and mountainous terrain, and take winding turns, cuts and loops past old silver and gold mines alike. Soak up nature’s beauty and some Colorado history while you sip on a cocktail. It’s the perfect activity for friends, family and kids alike.
3. Horseback Riding
Enjoy a hot breakfast and ready your steed. There’s no better way to experience the backcountry terrain in the summertime! Check out a rodeo, or mosey over to one of the many ranches with expertly guided trail rides. High Country Trails, Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Drowsy Water Ranch, or Sombrero Stables: Snow Mountain Ranch, YMCA are all great options to choose from.
4. Mountain Biking
Not afraid of heights? Ready to get your adrenaline pumping? They don’t call Winter Park the “Mountain Bike Capital, USA“ for nothing! With over 600 miles of cross-country trails and two downhill bike parks, we’ve got something for everyone.
